	The Hingham Historical Society offers historical buildings, some available for weddings and parties - see Old Derby Academy - and an archive of documents and artifacts. Old Ordinary, a historical tavern, can be visited. The Tap Room in the Old Ordinary, a one-time way station, where weary travelers or residents of Hingham could get a meal, a drink and conversation with such as Daniel Webster and Benjamin Lincoln, a Revolutionary War general who fought with George Washington. Today, the 17th-century structure is a house museum owned and operated by the Hingham Historical Society.
