Beautiful Old Derby Academy is the perfect site for special events. Located in the Lincoln Historic District near Hingham Square, this 19th century Federal Style building is within walking distance of five churches in downtown Hingham and near convenient parking. 
 

The building contains a large reception parlor on the first floor which lends itself to business meetings, wedding ceremonies, reception lines and small parties. The room can accommodate      up to 35 persons.

The ballroom on the second floor with its adjoining brick terrace and garden is an elegant setting for weddings, receptions, social gatherings, business meetings and dinners. The ballroom can accommodate 130 for auditorium style seating (with room for multi media presentations and product demonstrations), 80 for a sit-down dinner and up to 160 for dinner if the use of the garden and a tent is added. For an open house standing reception, it may be possible to increase the numbers. The ballroom is handicapped accessible.
